Stable: This wonderful wooden gem has three rear windows, a pitched roof (painted red), two interior beams, two horse boxes with feed trays at the rear, and a storage area on the far right side of the stable. A really unbelievably charming construction, from its hand-drawn exterior brickwork on each side and along the back, to the hand-painted planks on the front. The person we bought this from said it had been made in Argentina, which of course, is a country with a fine tradition of equestrian excellence. There are paddocks at each side of the stable which both come with a sheet of artificial grass – the smaller one on the left measures 13.75 x 10.5ins/35 x26cm; the one on the right is 24.5 x 10.5in/62x26cm

Measurements: Height at the apex of the roof: 14.5in/36cm; height of the stable openings 10in/25cm; width across the front of the stable 19.5in/50cm; total overall width including the eaves of the roof 21in/53.5cm; depth of the side walls of the stable 12.25in/31cm, and including the eaves 13.75in/35cm.

Horse: The lying-down horse will be included in the price of the stable, complete with the horse blanket shown. We are also offering a choice of three other horses for sale in our Etsy shop, GoodGollyMissDollyUK, but of course, you may already have your own ponies which need a home.

Accessories: In the storage area on the right side of the stable, there is a wooden pitchfork, stiff broom, two ropes, galvanized bucket and watering can, rusted grain bucket, grooming brush, bag of oats (yes, real oats inside) and burlap/hessian bag labeled “Carrots”. There’s also a wicker basket holding a few faux carrots. In addition, please note the metal lantern holder and brass lantern. The stable will be supplied with a small bag of straw, but addition there are two more bales as shown in one of our photos. Outside, in the paddock on the right, we’ve made a wooden water trough; this can be positioned as you will.

Fencing: Quite amazing set of handmade, vintage metal fencing – it has been designed by some clever craftsperson so that each section cleverly slips over a wooden fence post at each end. So the fencing can be arranged as you like, and the possible configurations are virtually endless. There are eight metal sections in all, 4 short ones measuring 8in/20cm in overall length and 4 long sections measuring 12in/30cm in length. Each fencing section is 6.25in/16cm high. There are also eight wooden posts, which are 5.75in/16cm in height.

Grass: We have created two paddocks at either side of the stable using pieces of fake grass – these will be included in the price listed.

Stableyard Paving: This has been made from a most wonderfully textured and printed paper, created to look like real cobblestones. Please request the close-up photo to see the detail of grass apparently growing between the cobbles! Measurement: 11.75 x 33in/30 x 74cm
